2008 ALASKA STATE SNO-X
CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES
With cooperation of snowmachine clubs in Anchorage and Valdez, State Champions will be crowned
in 2008 as the best SNO-X riders in their class. The
Championship Series will use an agreed upon rulebook and points
system, and are available from each Club.
The State Series provides for a race within a race. At the
local level, cash prizes and trophies are awarded for that
particular race. How you finish at each race determines the
points the racers receive for the State Series. The final race
for the Championship Series will move from city to city.
The objective of the State Championship Series is to create growth
opportunities for the sport, to provide consistent rules from event to
event and to promote each Club's race program. It is the intention of
these clubs to have races that are safe for racers, support crews, and
spectators alike.
Local
rules apply to each race, and points accumulated at each of the 6 races will determine the State Series Champion to be crowned in
Valdez. The 2007
Champions will be on the hot seat in defending their titles as the top
Sno-X riders.
